Loos & Co., Inc Volunteers at Pomfret Community Market

12/14/2021 Pomfret, CT, December 10, 2021— Loos & Co., Inc. employees gathered food donations at their local pantry this past weekend.

Volunteers spent the day at Pomfret Food Community, located in the Pomfret Community Center at 207 Mashamoquet Road.

The team was able to stock Pomfret Food Community with pasta, soup, produce, and a wide range of other goods. The market includes a refrigerator, freezer, and shelving to accommodate more than just traditional dry goods.
The market is organized by Thompson Ecumenical Empowerment Group (TEEG), and helps supply perishable, non-perishable, and hygiene products to individuals across northeastern Connecticut.

“It is important to acknowledge the food insecurity issues in our community,” said Jordan Caye, one of Loos & Company’s volunteers. “But it is even better to help make a difference.”

All TEEG markets, including the TEEG Community Market in North Grosvenordale and the TEEG Mobile Market in Woodstock allow families to pick and choose their own selections based on their needs.
The pantry is always in need of pasta, peanut butter, canned items, and self-care items in addition to volunteers.

More information about the community markets is available at https://www.teegonline.org/.
