Founded in 1958, Loos and Company have since become a leader in manufacturing a wide variety of wire, aircraft cable, and wire rope. Loos draws wire, strands, and closes wire rope up to 1-1-4″ DIA right in the USA at our Pomfret, Connecticut facility.
Our facilities are state-of-the-art with: rope mill, extrusion rooms, cable tech areas, wire mill, machining and testing labs – we are you’re one-stop-shop.
Today, Loos & Co. is proud to be a part of Central Wire Group of Companies, representing the company’s Rope and Assemblies division. This division consists of three brands located across the United States, Loos & Co. Inc., Strand Core and Sanlo Inc., each of which provides different capabilities to meet our customer’s precise specifications.
Loos - Mil-Spec & Commercial Manufacturing Capabilities
Loos and Company is able to provide the precision manufacturing and high-quality you need for all your commercial needs. Our commercial product lineup includes:
- Cable, Rope and Strand in a variety of constructions, available in galvanized or stainless steel materials.
- Custom domestically jacketed Coated Cable provided in nylon and vinyl thermoplastic jackets. Cable materials include galvanized and stainless steel in any of our various cable diameters and constructions.
- We offer several commercial Cable End Fittings and Tools to terminate your custom Cable Assemblies, including Sleeves, Terminals, Stops, Ball Ends, Thimbles, Studs, and Rope Clips.
- Our Mechanical Assembly capabilities include custom or standard Fittings, with galvanized or stainless steel lanyards proving reliable even in harsh applications.
